Selected Recordings

While at Yorktown High School, Dr. Bersh directed the symphonic band, concert band, wind symphony, marching band, and musical pit orchestra. He also directed and founded the Percussion Ensemble, Big Band Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Steel Band, and collaborated to produce performances with the Symphony Orchestra and Choir. He currently directs the Williamsburg Middle School Jazz Band and Taylor and Jamestown Elementary School Band and Orchestra.

Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival

The Yorktown Big Band Jazz Ensemble was fortunate to be invited to perform on the Finals Stage of the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival several years. This Finals Stage performance features two Duke Ellington charts: Boy Meets Horn and Sepia Panorama

National Concert Band Festival

The Yorktown Symphonic Band was invited two times to perform on the Invited Stage of the Music For All National Concert Band Festival

National Percussion Ensemble Festival

The Yorktown Percussion Ensemble was invited two times to perform at the Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival
